IMACS GTM Important Design Considerations The Grating Tilt Mechanism was designed so that any grating in a cell can be seated in any tilt mechanism. The cell is located in the truion by means of high precision locating pins (one diamond and one round) and are held in place with screws. When changing cells it is important to ensure the cell is fully seated in the trunion and that the screws are fully torqued. Troubleshooting the electromechanis. Common issues that have occured with the GTM include: Home Not Found: It has been the case in the past that hard limits are tripped occasionaly during grating changes. Presumably, this happens when the hard limit trigger is brushed by a cable or finger after it has been installed on the wheel. Should this error occur, it is suggested that the state of the hard limits be checked at the electronics rack, and rest if necessary.
